PRESSURE REDUCING VALVES

Pressure Reducing Valves

Pressure decreasing valve is used for decreasing the pressures exceeding the pressures needed in system. After desired design pressure is obtained by hydraulic calculations, also for the other areas hydraulic calculations are done. High pressures in critical zones will be obtained with fire pumps of highest pressures and flows needed in all these areas. In this high pressure setting pressure decreasing valve are used. Manometers should be attached in front and back of pressure decreasing valves. Relief valve should be attached from the exit side of Pressure Decreasing valve on condition that diameter not being smaller than ½”. Relief valve setting pressures should not exceed 12.1 bars.

Advantages; increase system equipments material lifetime setting water pressure. Moreover to end the water in storage is prevented with pressure decreasing valve used according to hydraulic calculation done in sprinkler installment.
